Step 1. Here I’ve selected my Merged DVD project ( Project 5 ) and selected the main movie of DVD 1. In the “Domain Content” pane I have selected the first block. I have also widened the Preview window just below it. You can do this by placing the mouse
Pointer on the right edge of the window to get the double arrows and then just click and drag it to where you want it. I do this so I get the slider bar below the preview window.

Step 2. Press the play button and allow the video to play until you get the end of the portion of the video you want to remove off the beginning of the movie. You can see
The play button is illuminated while the video is playing.

Step 2a. I allowed it to play until I reached the opening credits and then pressed the stop button as seen below. Take note in the bottom window in the upper left hand corner you can see this block is 111.16 MB and to the right we see the file size 32.28 MB. This is the
Amount of video we’ll be removing from the beginning of the movie and there will be much more at the end. This can make the difference of whether or not you can fit the project onto a DVD5 or not.

Step 3. Right click in preview window at the bottom and select “Cut To Here”

Step 3a. Now we see the 1st block is no longer 111.16 MB but 86.82 MB instead saving us 32.28 MB.

Step 4. Move the slider bar in the “Domain Content” window to the end and we will see the ending credits is at least 152.65 MB.

Step 5. Right click on the last block ( 152.65 MB ) and select “Hide Block” from the drop down menu.

Step 5a. You can see the new size is 0.01 MB saving us 152.64 MB on our project.

Step
5b. As you can see I have selected the next to
last block and moved the slider bar in the preview window below it near the end
and then hit play to see if there were any additional credits still remaining.
In this case there wasn’t any. Had there been additional credits I would have
let the movie play in the preview window until just before It go to to additional credits ( had there been any ) and I would
have right clicked in the preview window and selected “Cut
From Here” to remove the extra content.

Step
5c. Had we selected “Cut From Here” it would have removed the video from what
is currently show in the preview window all the way to the end of the movie.
This is probably the best approach to removing the ending credits and had there
been additional credits in this next to the last block it would have eliminated
the need to use the “Hide Block” feature as done is
the beginning of Step5.
